Smart opening sensors with wireless technology

smartHome systems simplify everyday life, providing convenience for your own house. Thanks to the radio contacts from the Winkhaus smartHome product range it is possible to detect the locked and open state of windows. The signal is transmitted wirelessly to a smartHome system for evaluation or control. Alternatively, the signal can also be transmitted to a burglary alarm system using a wireless switching relay. The integration of wireless contacts into a burglary alarm system has the special advantage that there is no need to lay cables, making it perfect for retrofitting burglary alarm systems. The windows can now be fully integrated into the smart house.

Wireless technology

Winkhaus radio contacts communicate in the EnOcean standard and are thus compatible with many devices from different manufacturers. This makes them easy to link to intelligent systems.

Regardless of the window fitting, the wireless contacts can be installed in any standard PVC-U and wooden windows with a rebate depth of 24 mm or more. This means that a broad spectrum of existing windows can be retrofitted into the smart home without requiring the additional effort of laying cables.

Certyfikate

The wireless contact has received the VdS Home seal of quality from VdS (Vertrauen durch Sicherheit; trust through security). This certificate attests to the high functionality, quality and reliability of the components developed specifically for the residential sector.

Compatible with Somfy TaHoma

TaHoma Switch is Somfy’s latest smart home centre for networking and controlling building services. Secure access via app is possible on a tablet or smartphone (iOS, Android) – so it can be done away from home (https://postep.eu/en/catalog/1...).

The radio contact comes with multiple EEP (EnOcean Equipment Profiles). These can be changed over at the radio contact and are needed to communicate with various control centres. The radio contact is taught in to the Somfy Tahoma Box using the standard EEP A5-14-01 (4BS), which is pre-set at the factory. It is also needed to equip the gateway with an EnOcean USB stick.
