Large roller shutters aren't easy to operate by a tape coiler. One of the solutions can be a crank rod mechanism. The crank rod mechanism
facilitates lifting and lowering of heavy roller shutter curtain and is much cheaper than electric motors.

The shutter is equipped with a special rod to operate.  The rods are available in two basic colours: white and brown, but on the customer request they can be lacquered. The length of the rod is 1200mm or 1400mm.

From the crank, the drive is transferred through the cardan lever and a special gear to the roller shutter shaft.

The crank rod operated roller shutters are equipped in standard with special security hangers which tighten the curtain down and prevent it to be lifted up by unauthorised personnel.
